Brazil open : Juan Carlos lost in first round

No respite for Juan Carlos since after the Davis Cup he flew to Sao Paulo in order to take part to the Brazil tournament. Unfortunately Juan has lost in the first round to the Argentinian player Leonardo Mayer in 2 sets 7-6 / 6-2. After a very disputed first set lost in the tiebreak(Juan led 4-1 in the decisive game !), Juan has been virtually non-existent in the second set. It must be said that Mayer has raised his level of play and especially his service since he has served not less than 11 aces!
It's a pity for Juan Carlos because i think he had the potential to win this game and go further in this tournament!

Happy Birthday Juan Carlos !

Juan Carlos Ferrero celebrated his 32nd birthday in an original way this year as he celebrated it with his friends of the Davis Cup Spain team in Oviedo !
Just after Spain had won his fifth match against Kazakhstan, the public sang "Happy birthday" and Juan partners reserved him a small surprise with his birthday cake !
Here i a small statement of Juan :
"I don't remember [the last time] that I spent my birthday here, usually I spend the day playing in Brazil, so it was very special to spend it here with all the team, here, very nice . I expect something but I didn't expect the cake and all the people so I'm very happy about how they treat me here so I felt very special today."
